The fortune teller is a painting which shows the ability of the artist in working with small details in a very detailed context. Here you can see a portrait-style artwork where I have managed to make the woman (the fortune teller) stand out the background by using a big amount of paint and a gestural style. The picture that I have worked on is one of the many I have shot during my photo sessions. This one is taken from a photo session I had several years ago while I was working on a big ‘Caravaggio style’ artwork. I kept this particular photo because I loved the look of the fortune teller and I finally painted it during the summer of 2019.
