The Follower is the series of paintings that portrays a concept of the inescapable nature of our past and the way it intertwines with our present and future.
The person on the paintings serves as the focal point, while the symbolic shadow represents the idea of the past, which remains with us as we move forward in life.
The shadow trailing behind the person serves as a metaphor for the past, signifying the memories, experiences, cultural and emotional baggage that accompany us throughout our lives. It suggests that regardless of how we try to forge ahead or leave certain aspects of our past behind, they inevitably remain with us, influencing our paths and shaping our identities.
The series invites viewers to contemplate the impact of personal history and how it can manifest in our actions, decisions, and emotions.
