Original artwork description:

Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.

With ‘The Flower’, I have placed a monoprint from my palette of red, pink, orange, yellow and white, over a blue and green wash. Then formed it into a composition.
