Part of my "Floating Villages of Tonlé Sap Lake" Series.
Tonlé Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia and plays a major role in the Cambodian Ecosystem designated as UNESCO Biosphere in 1997. During the dry season the lake is relatively shallow. With the start of the rainy season it expands several times in size and can reach depths of 9 metres. The area is home to many ethnic communities living on floating villages. Pigsties to schools are all seen floating around the lake.
