The First Time I Met You #1 is an abstract fluid painting made up of acrylic brush strokes combined with layers of fluid paint. It is an abstract piece that aims to convey an emotive response of the feelings someone has the first time they meet someone. My work aims to investigate abstract painting in terms of colour, space and movement and to evoke an emotional response. Messy layers and brush strokes of paint together with fluid paint form to portray a sense of movement balanced alongside negative space allowing the painting to breathe among the layers.
