Original Edition of 150
Well this Autumn is just about as good as it was back in 2012. No frost, no wind, low rainfall after a decent summer bring us the colours we love at this time of year. This image is a panoramic stitch of 6 individual frames. A fallen giant.
Autumnal Beech trees at Stanage Plantation in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Optimum colours usually only last for one day in the year so you need to be there at the right time. This can only be achieved by visiting places regularly - lots of early starts, long drives and walking and exploring. A little manipulation has brought out the colours here to produce an almost magical fairytale feeling to the image.
