A colourful abstract landscape artwork in rustic colours of Autumn. The ochre grasses, light blue water and mauve skies of a moody dawn at a historic site on the Island of Orkney in the Scottish Highlands.

Made on the Island of Mainland Orkney off the north coast of Scotland near the Ring of Brodgar, standing stones from over 5000 years ago. The pools of pale blue water near the stones are filled with beautiful reeds and wildlife, glimmering water reflecting a September sky. From the sheep on the land, Orcadians weave beautiful fabrics, texture and landscape combine. In this scene I was particularly in love with the moody purples of the sky and mountains harmonising perfectly with the ochre and browns in the reeds.

Gorgeous vibrant colours are beautifully contrasted by the bright white border with the signature, print and edition number in the border under the image.
