I painted this portrait from some drawings and photos I made in Maiori (Salerno, Italy), in October 2019. From the waterfront I observed this little girl who had just come out of the sea and, while she was wrapped in the towel that her mother had placed on her shoulders, she seemed absorbed in thoughts, melancholy for what was probably the last swim of the year.
