Artwork description:

Branches breaking beneath your feet as you walk tentatively through this unknown wood, only to be startled by the flap of wing from an owl that apparently startled......you wonder if you know the way as the forest canopy becomes thicker and what little sky you see becomes darker, still you venture deeper beyond the pine.

This photograph, is a composite of two separate images....the owl was photographed at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy and the wooded background with exposed tree root was photographed at the Royal Botanical Garden. The fog was added for effect.

The image is a monochrome with only a slight trace of colour, again for effect.

This image is offered here as a 12x18 inch print on archival quality paper and ink but is available in other substrates with pricing available upon request.

Materials used:

Canon 7D Mkii, Adobe Photoshop CC 2017, Wacom Intous Tablet, Archival Ink on Canvas
