A long time coming, the Trams have finally arrived in Edinburgh. I like them. I like to think that after all the years of paying local taxes here, that maybe a few centimetres of it were funded by me! I also like the lines of the electric cable above them in the street that power them. This is a view of a tram passing by the junction of Hanover Street and Princess Street with the Edinburgh Castle and the National Gallery in the background. It is Christmas and the decorations and lights are up covering a tree. The driver sits alone in his cab, transporting the citizens to the city centre. The haunting sound of the tram horn is something that the local residents will know well.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
