Description: The Eastern Columbia building is one of the world’s most famous Art Deco landmarks. Located in the Broadway Theater District of Downtown Los Angeles this masterful piece of architecture was designed by Claud Beelman and opened in 1930. It climbs 264 feet into the sky and cost a cool $1.25 million to build. Originally it served as a clothing and furniture store, but was converted to condominiums in 2006. Johnny Depp was one of its most famous residents. Multiple Hollywood movie and TV shows were filmed here including the 1985 pilot for the iconic series Moonlighting starring Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis.
