A mixed media painting, watercolour and fine liner, taken from a scene of Swan Lake.

I was brought up dancing and am so inspired by the beautiful shapes made by ballet dancers, and their attire. Here I've tried to highlight all the elements in their own way, the long and graceful limbs in realistic watercolour paintwork and the linear shapes and angles made by the tutu in static ink, creating a deconstructed effect.

This is painted in watercolour on 300 gsm 100% cotton Moulin Du Roy paper, the paper is of a lovely quality; thick, heavy and isn't ruched or buckled. All my paintings are shipped well protected in heavy card and waterproofing.
