Original artwork description:

The day will come when, old and tired, I will no longer have the strength to walk.
Then I will close my eyes and dream that I am in a forest, at sunset, full of light.

This painting was done in the studio in January 2023. It is a reworking of several studies done en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on paper, then mounted on 100% linen canvas on a custom-made fir frame.
The signature is in the lower right corner
The painting is protected with a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work is framed in a thin fir frame that deliberately shows the knots in the wood in order to better relate to the natural subject. The frame is stained brown. It is ready to hang.
The painting is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
"The dreamed forest" is a literal translation of the original Italian title "Il bosco sognato".
