Original artwork description:

The train line from Shrewsbury to mid-Wales divides North/South at the Dovey Estuary were the Dovey joins the sea. The single-track line traverses a flat peaty marshland across the marshland. A beautiful spot for wild birds and marsh plants, bleak and empty in the winter but for a solitary house. Every time I journeyed from Abersytwyth to England I passed this line, and this is a memento of winter-time.

Materials used:

Oil paint on linen canvas, egg & Oil emulsion primer, Damar Varnish
