In the realm of dystopian romanticism, a lone figure in the middle of an empty field, before a stormy purple sky. Are they unearthing something, or are putting something into the ground?

My paintings are built from a mixture of Caspar David Friedrich's romantic paintings, film stills, Hudson River School Paintings, and contemporary suburban photography. The main importance is the mixture of beauty and looming threat. I seek to light scenarios which draw attention to the mood of a specific time of day. Each Landscape holds its own open-ended narration. A story to be found.
