The crazy cat lady is never happier than when she takes a siesta on the sofa surrounded by all her cats!!.
I have made this collage on vintage French cream linen. I have stitched the outline of the cat ladys sitting room on my sewing machine. The sofa, the rug and the cushions have been made from various fabrics and then individually stitched on. The black cats are made of wool and have been stitchen on aswell as the large grey cat on the floor who is made of a grey flannel fabric. I have used a skin coloured lycra type fabric to create the cat ladys visible body parts and her dress is a cheery cotton number! She has a pair of black booties and painted finger nails!I used a bit of gouache to colour in the "I love cats" poster and the view out the window. I have embroidered the collage title and my signature on the front of the collage.
This collage is sold un-framed.
