Original artwork description:

An original abstract painting on deep edged stretched canvas using high quality Golden heavy body acrylic paints. I wanted to play with some blues using Teal and Pthalo blue, adding a complementary vibrant cadmium red contrasts the painting and draws you in. There is lots of texture in this painting as I used brushes in soft strokes and a palette knife for scraping on thicker amounts of paint. I liked the effect of pthalo blue dripping down the canvas and adding sheen and texture.
The Common Teal is a bird that presents a coloured stripe on its head, nature inspires us everyday!
