Original artwork description:

I have walked the path that runs alongside this ditch many times, sharing with it the joys, hopes and sorrows of my life. I like to think that each time the ditch has listened to me and channeled all my thoughts into its waters.
Thoughts that then slowly rose like steam into the sky.
Now they are all up there, together, far away and in the form of a cloud.
To this day, seeing all that has passed in that cloud, I continue to confide in my ditch. And the wonder of nature accompanies me on my journey.

This painting was done in the studio in August 2023. It is a reworking of several studies done en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on rough paper, then applied on 100% linen canvas and finally mounted on a fixed fir frame made to measure.
The signature is in the lower right corner.
The painting is protected by a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work is supplied with a thin wooden frame to protect the edges. It is ready to hang.
The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
"The Ditch and the Cloud is a literal translation of the original Italian title "Il fosso e la nuvola".
