This modern, semi abstract oil painting was created over several days, building multiple layers of delicately applied oil paint onto a gesso primed wooden panel.

The view is inspired by a favourite place near my home, and is just before the trees spring into life with fresh green growth. A winding path leads beneath the trees and through shrubs that cast deep shadows, leading towards the bright green grass of a sun filled clearing.

There is an atmosphere of anticipation, as the sunshine and blue sky warm the foliage, welcoming Spring.

Please note, the colours are quite subtle, and so this painting was hard to photograph and get consistent colour likeness!

The artwork is framed in a bespoke, professionally hand made solid wood frame, painted in Farrow and Ball paint, in mid-grey.

All my work is carefully wrapped for shipping. This piece will be wrapped in tissue, with layers of protective foam board and bubble wrap, then place in a sturdy cardboard box.
