Mixed media painting with acrylic, gesso and "Grattage".
From my series "Stillstand" (Standstill).
Ready to hang. Sides are painted white.
My animal and nature observations in the time of the lockdown in my area served as the basis for the series "Stillstand".
The picture was created from an observation I made years ago.
I saw the bizarre scene of a circus elephant grazing on a grassy area in the middle of a roundabout.
In the lockdown I heard a report about a circus near me that was no longer allowed to travel and had to settle in a village.
Both scenes merged into one picture
