Portrait of a beautiful, regal looking lion in expressive watercolor on paper. Lions are a symbol of courage, pride, ferocity and strength. I have tried to capture these qualities in this close up portrait. My style here is impressionistic, with blooms of soft color establishing the base and then the fur and details etched out with sharp brush strokes.The painting is not framed, it will come flat packed with a sturdy support.
