Original artwork description:
This is a view if the Chateau on the river Charente at the historic town of Verteuil (pronounced Vertoy) in France, about an hour's drive from the Maison d'Art. There are a number of great closer views of the Chateau, but I deeded to go a bit further down the Charente and paint this impression looking back up the river.
I painted most of it on site, and it only needed a bit of a touch up in the studio, about 15 minutes or so.
