Original artwork description:

This diptych is a dark, moody expression of hidden feminine energy with strong witchy overtones. I wanted to make an ambiguous ritual, not based on any current practice in particular, to show the fervour behind supernatural desires for transformation.

I used a special technique with this piece to create a crackled effect on the paper called 'momigami'.

This is a two painting piece and the work is made to be displayed with one painting horizontally next to the other. It is unframed as 2 rolls of paper currently. I think a black wooden frame would work well.

Materials used:

Ink, Japanese pigment
