Original artwork description:

This still life painting was inspired by my cat making himself comfortable by sitting on the chair. I was setting up this still life. I think he liked the feel of the silk of the Green Kimono. I then added the Bird Cage to the composition. I have a fascination for Sunflowers and these went with the colours of the curtains behind the Bird cage. I wanted to keep to these vibrant colours mainly Viridian green and yellow of the sunflowers. I brought in the blue and red in less quantities . This painting is painted in very good quality oil paints on a stretched deep edge canvas. It is ready strung and can be hanged as it is painted on a thick edge canvas but I think it would look good with a bold frame to set it off.
