After visiting a carpenter in his workshop I was entranced by the light and colours, there was one window high up the wall, sunlight poured into the space lighting up stacks of wood and dust motes that danced in the sun. The carpenter was wearing blue overalls, that contrasted with all the ochres reds and buffs. Returning to the studio I started work on this painting, using small blocks of colour overlaid to depict the glittering light in the workshop. Finished with a satin glaze.
Initialled front right, signed titled dated on the back
The painting is framed in a white float frame, ready to hang.
