INSPIRATION
This painting was inspired by a trip to Fraser Island, 11 years ago. It was the last morning we spent camping at Inskip Point just across the channel from Fraser. It was a serene morning, with lovely sunrise colours but just a few hours before the rain started.
The painting was executed using a glazing technique with multiple layers of paint starting from a grey grisaille.
The painting is in oil paints on linen mounting to an aluminium panel.
