Artwork description:
There was an ancient wildflower meadow close to where I lived as a child. I used to lie there in Summer amongst the flowers and it made me feel very happy.
This is a stylised version of that meadow. I drew the design in pencil on the lino and made it up as I went along.
Sadly, the meadow no longer exists and has been turned into luxury flats. Around 90% of our wildflower meadows have been lost since the 1960's.
