Using a bright palette of primary colours blue and yellow, this little landscape study is a theme to which I return many times: The Bright Field.

It is inspired by the poem of the same title by R.S. Thomas and by the wonderful Lincolnshire landscape where I live, with its large skies and views for miles.
I love the idea of two trees beside each other, apart from the rest; this is something that has inspired me too.

It is painted in Artist quality oil paints on a canvas panel.
Available framed in a floated frame slightly wider than the painting.
