Original artwork description:

With this triptych I started out with the one on the far right. After the second layer I decided to add an other one to the left. Still I felt something was missing and I added the final piece on the far left (all three paintings can be put in one frame or can be hung separately with some space between them). This painting contains a lot of different techniques: a first layer was made by applying structure paste with sand. The second layer consists of water mixable oil paint and water, letting it freely flow to help me letting go of controlling the composition. To the far left of the painting I used terpentine and iridescent white to create cell-like structures inside the deep blue colour. Then I added different glacis-layers and finished with different layers of white tones to implicate a light source coming from behind the different 3D-elements.

The sides of the painting are the same colours as the front. The painting is varnished, ready to hang and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be packaged in a cardboard box with an inner casing for maximum protection. Customs clearance is included in the shipment cost.

Materials used:

oil paint, structure paint, terpentine
