This is an Ink drawing of one of the most iconic buildings in Liverpool, England. It is called St Luke’s Church, but known locally as the bombed out church. It is situated at the top of Bold Street, the outside walls are still in tact but the roof and inside were completely destroyed by German bombs during the Second World War. It was left this way as a poignant reminder and memorial for all the soldiers that lost their lives during warfare. This drawing of the church’s main tower and nearby rooftops was drawn from life in Liverpool over a few days.
