Original artwork description:

Anyone who has visited Beth Chatto's Gardens in Essex will know not just how beautiful they are, but also the profound effect Beth Chatto had on horticulture last century. The ecological gardens were created by plantswoman Beth Chatto in 1960 from the gravel soil and bogs of the disused fruit farm belonging to her husband, botanist Andrew Chatto. They are a series of gardens that display examples of sustainable planting based on Beth Chatto's ethos of 'right plant, right place'.

I once wrote music for a documentary about the gardens and met the lady herself before her death a few years ago.
