Original artwork description:

“Backstairs” captures the stark contrast between the grandeur of Budapest's Parliament and the neglected, crumbling staircases of apartment buildings in the VIII district. While the Parliament stands as a beautifully restored symbol of national pride, the backstairs represent the unseen places where decisions are truly made, reflecting the corruption hidden behind the city’s polished façade. Through this work, I protest against the misuse of power, depicting the eye of surveillance and the sinister paths that lie behind political glamour.

In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere. Due to the OSB board, these works of art are very stable but heavy. This is recycled art.
The painting is made with self-made paint, which basically consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints.
The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only few artists around the world work with wax on its own.

This work will be delivered with Care Instructions of my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.
Thanks for considering me!
