This takes you into the heart of the Everglades National Park in Florida. The alligator floating on the surface with the anhinga bird using the back of the reptile as a look out post and landing spot amidst the water. This is supposed to be a playful piece considering this predator is reduced to a lumbering oaf who is giving a boost to the anhinga who looks like a general watching their troops march into battle such is the slightly arrogant posture and scrutinising gaze of the bird. An odd quirk/interaction from the wildlife brought to artistic life here in this piece.
