This is my cat, Gus, gazing out of the window. I loved the way he was almost a silhouette against the sunlit trees.
This is a monotype, which is a one-off piece. It's created by painting with ink onto a Perspex sheet, covering with paper and running through a printing press. I like to hand-burnish it afterwards as well, which means scratching into the image to create light and texture.
