"Thaw" is my homage to a lovely 1897 painting called "Thaw in Gatchina" by Richard Bergholz. Gatchina is a town in Russia about 45 km south of St Petersburg. I kept the main compositional elements but did not copy the details from the original work. I love the contrast between the bridge and the snow and birch trees.
It would look great in a variety of settings, from an old house to an apartment. It is ready to hang.
