Artwork description:

White-mouthed moray eels are a common sight for snorkelers in the Hawaiian Islands. They curl around and under mounds of coral, so that they're not always immediately visible. I wanted to capture the startling sense of delight when seeming random underwater patterns suddenly coalesce into an animal.

Materials used:

Strathmore paper, Speedball water-based ink
