Thalassa VI continues the exploration of the ocean’s depth and movement but introduces a more dynamic, almost fragmented interpretation of the seascape. While previous works in the series embraced the tranquility of the sea, this piece conveys its raw energy—the tension between calm and turbulence, between solidity and fluid motion.

The composition is dominated by rich blue hues, reminiscent of deep waters, while layered textures and impasto techniques create a sense of shifting tides and ocean currents, with sharp, white streaks cutting through the canvas, evoking crashing waves, light reflecting off the water’s surface, or even abstract nautical structures emerging from the depths. Hints of red and yellow punctuate the composition, suggesting flickers of energy—perhaps the fleeting glow of sunset on water or the pulse of life beneath the surface.
