When I painted this small seascape, it was not memories of calm summer days that came to me, but of the exileration I felt when I went sailing with my brother in the North of Holland. On those windy days, when the power of sea and wind would drive our little craft speeding through the surf, I would feel grateful to be alive. The sea is in my blood and it is there where I can connect the most with the "unseen". I hope this painting will speak to you too.
The picture continues around the edge of the canvas giving it a 3-D effect. It arrives unframed but can easily be framed in a frame of your choice. This artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
