Along a gravel road that I drive almost daily. There is an small bit of an old foundation and a windmill. The blades long gone from the windmill, but it still stands tall. On evening while driving past as the storm clouds gathered along the western horizon. I was caught up in a moment from the past. The daily struggles of a time long ago. The callused hands that worked the hard prairie dirt. This bit is all that is left as a testimony of time.
