Inspired by the lunar maps of Galileo and Hevelius, the TERRAE series approaches fantastic ideas of discovering new lands where imaginary and personal universes take on a hybrid texture. Terrae tapestries visually materialise and simulate these imaginary spaces. These tapestries constitute an invitation to play with the imagination and seem to ask: What do you see when you look at me?

Susanna Costantini's weaving studio is based in Abruzzo, Italy. The approach followed aims to highlight the exceptional value that comes from the interaction between hands and materials of different origins.
