Original artwork description:

This painting began a series of paintings that explored a way of fragmenting the narrative of the painting and mixing up the backgrounds and figures and combining these with an abstract space with geometric shapes. My intention was to move away from a unified narrative that held the painting together, towards a pattern and rhythm that resolved the painting.
