TEMPTATION - - matr. 55/16re - CANVAS 75X100.
Woman and her double nature: temptress and tempted, audacity and fear, mind and body: the one attracts, seduces, bewitches, the other escapes intimidated and drives away danger. In the background, the world that continues to run, in its daily frenzy. Memories, solutions, experiences, emotions lived with vibrant intensity. My favourite models are women, lost in their intimacy, caught in their mental spaces. Suspended emotions, experiences had or simply desired, but when you put them on a canvas, they become yours. Beauty belongs to everyone. I am an artist and I feed on life.
Different experiences have led me to refine my artistic talent, to the point of elaboration, to digital collage, starting from my photographs, which I print on various media, finally treated with varnish and oil paint. My ‘Mixed Techniques’ are constructed by fishing from the immense archive of images collected over the years, a shop window in Frankfurt, a skyscraper in the city of London, a woman I met in Paris, become part of the immense reserve of subjects I photograph in order to include them in my work. The intention is to tell a story and communicate emotions. Fragments of stories from the world of oneiric dreams, where it is difficult to distinguish between illusion and reality. Refined, mysterious images immersed in surreal atmospheres, the result of an elaborate mix of set design and painting.
