Original artwork description:
The Template series dates back to 2012 and I have created several versions since experimenting with the technique of pouring. Earlier versions were on canvas but lately I have been working on paper, I am using high quality 400gsm archival paper which is heavy and durable. This is on of the first Template paintings that uses a background of layered metallic paint which changes colour depending on the viewpoint, the thick black paint on top has an almost 3D effect. This work is sold framed with acrylic/ perspex front to avoid breakage, however if glass is preferred it is easy to change.
