I have been working on a series of abstract paintings to complement my figurative work. The focus on colour and texture is still there, as are the bold brush marks. The compositions are abstract but drawn from my own version of reality.

Teeth is an abstracted view of silver birch trees on the local common. I have used acrylic and pouring medium to create some 3D structure on the surface of the painting. The painting is a study of complementary colours on a gold background.

This painting measures 30" x 20." It is on a deep edge box canvas with white painted sides so does not need to be framed.
