This bright and colorful painting captures the charm of the Tuck Box, a beloved teahouse nestled in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The piece brings to life the whimsical design of the 1927 cottage by Hugh Comstock. The building’s signature red-and-white striped awning stands out vibrantly against the soft hues of the surrounding scene, evoking a sense of timeless enchantment.
Materials information: Oil on 18"x24" oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. It is unframed and will need a frame to hang on the wall.
