Incredible teal blue colours in this abstract landscape from the Isle of Harris in Scotland. The deep blue green of the mineral waters at Luskentyre Beach as seen from above, create fabulous patterns as the incoming tide meets the silver sand of the shore. A calming yet colourful piece.
On the remote Isle of Harris, the flow of teal water over white sand is soothing and intense. Flooding the senses with colour. I use various techniques with my camera moving it around while taking the shots to create this look. I then work on the image to bring out the colours I see and intensify the emotional impact I feel while working in remote places. I use the natural colours of the landscape to intensify the emotional impact these remote places have on my view of the world.
This fine art giclée print is one of only 25 in the edition. Printed on the finest aquarelle paper from an ancient mill in France where paper has been made for artists since the 1600s. This paper is has a beautiful watercolour paper texture and is made from 100% cotton to high archival standards.
This is a long exposure photograph where I have used advanced photography techniques to create an impressionist style image. I feel this image suits this style as it conveys the beauty of the scene.
Each print is handmade in my studio and the 32 x 48 inches image has a generous 2 inches white border. The full size of the print is 52 x 36 inches. The print will be signed, titled and numbered beneath the image.
