This was the first tea cup painting I ever did and it let to a very successful collection of tea cup paintings which were published world wide by The Medici Society, Phoenix Trading, Card Connection, Abacus Cards and Carlton Cards. This painting was the most popular of all and has been in print continuously for over a decade.
The watercolour was painted directly from a still life which I set up using vintage tea cups filled with spring blossom, set out in a line on a white lace tablecloth. The butterflies were added last and bring the whole scene to life!
Special edition Giclee prints now available. Hand signed and numbered by the artist and limited to only 25. The print is mounted in 18" x 29.50"off white mount board and will arrive ready for framing accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
