This Owl is a unique style of fine art drawing.

I used a traditional nib based pen and high quality lightfast inks on hand-made watercolour paper with an abstracted background.

This Tawny Owl has been painted in Acrylic inks on specialist Two Rivers hand pressed 300GSM paper.

With this style of artwork I create the background ink study first and then looking at the abstract I decide on how best to incorporate an animal, bird or insect into the spaces available. Rather like looking at clouds, I let the composition of the abstract dictate the outcome. In this particular piece the colours and patterns inspired me to an owl.

Much care and attention is taken in packaging my work for both national and international delivery. It is recommended that this item is sent without glass, because the sheet is so large and won't transport well. A local framer should be able to provide some cut to size for about £18. This item will be packaged firstly with an acid-free tissue paper to ensure a protective layer and is then sealed in clear plastic cellophane. All corners are protected with cardboard corner protectors. It is then finished with a triple wrapping of bubble wrap with two cardboard sheets and placed into another cardboard covering.
