There's always an itch, I think it's triggered by thinking a certain way for long enough. On the right days you're almost seeing through people, places, whatever you're looking at. The brain breaks them down into their constituant parts, light and shade and tone. The biggest eyesore of a car park can give you the itch to paint on these right days. Presenting something in just the way it appeared that moment becomes a mission.
It's like trying to bottle joy, you'll never do it, but fuck it, why not try? That's why I love to create, why else are we here?
I'm looking for a global outlet for the work I produce and ideally somewhere where clients can request commissions too.
Manchester born, I moved to Lyon, France, seven years ago to be with the person who makes me happiest! New scenes, new politics, new smells, new tastes, new language, essentially endless inspiration. During those seven years I've been lucky enough to be accepted into a lot of exhibitions, from the European Custom Board show to an actual first place prize for Shado Mag's 'Protect the protest'. 'Protect the protest' meant that my artwork 'Shake fascism' was show in eleven cities throughout the UK on enormous billboards during the summer 2025.
When I'm not creating, I'm doing my best to help others create, teaching painting and illustration at Ose studios, Lyon. These teaching opportunities allow me to do lovely things like working with the LPO (the largest French bird protection charity).
Always happy to bring a vision to life, I also gladly undertake commissions.
