Original artwork description:

The forth in a series of bird paintings which documents the avian inhabitants of the Rhone Alps in France.

Mainly a forest dweller the Tawny owl is a formidable spectre of the night. Like most owls its ears are asymmetrical, allowing it to pinpoint sources of noise. So if you're a delicious frog or a deletable bank vole, tread lightly.

Acrylic and pencil on another page from 'The Country Diary of a Edwardian Lady'

Not a single owl pun made, whooo would have thought.

Materials used:

Acrylic and pencil on painted book page
