Artwork description:

A monotype print of a scene seen during a cycle ride along the Taunton and Bridgwater canal of a farmshed hidden by the overgroth of the surrounding trees and foliage.

The image is a monotype print. The waterbased printing ink was painted onto an acrylic sheet from an initial sketch. The plate was pressing onto damp fabriano paper, lifting the image from the sheet. The printed sheet was placed in a tray of water a lightly brushed, lifting some of the ink to form a watercolour style of print.

The resultant image has pastel colours with a textual quality from the Rosapina Fabriano paper.
